Completed in the 1830s, Quamby Estate Homestead is steeped in history. It was the home of Sir Richard Dry, the first Tasmanian born premier of the State. "Here eminent colonial grandees gathered to campaign for an end to convict transportation to Tasmania, to debate and draft the Tasmanian constitution and to plan the expansion of the State's rail transport system." ~ Read more here.

Quamby Estate Golf Course was constructed in the early 1990s (Design by Peter Toogood). This beautiful 9 hole course has magnificent views to Ben Lomond in the East and the Great Western Tiers to the South. The fairways are lined by large mature trees planted in rows with garden avenues, hedgerows, watercourses, lakes and ponds. Twice round, this 9-hole 6,847 metre course commands a par 76. There are 9 lakes, cascades, creeks and 3 challenging "Scottish" bunkers.

The Club House was built in the 1850s, and was originally the Estate Manager's office and home.

Quamby Estate is about 20 minutes from Launceston. Gallery, Online Booking and more information at the Quamby Estate website, linked above.
